What "full-spectrum" specifies
With the label in mind, the term itself is precise. A full-spectrum CBD oil is extracted from the whole hemp plant, so it retains cannabidiol together with the minor cannabinoids the plant produces — cannabigerol (CBG) and cannabinol (CBN) among them, in small amounts — and the terpenes from the same extraction. "Full spectrum" names that complete composition: the spread of compounds present in hemp, kept present in the oil.
